Alongside my work in the arts, I’m also a psychotherapist who works in private practice with people from many different walks of life. Ply is the name of my therapy practice.
My interests in working with people and making sense of our experiences through art meant that psychotherapy was a logical expansion of my skillset and approach. My creative work always explored the intricacies of our motivations and behaviours, and psychology, cultural studies and our everyday experiences informed the core of my making. The name Ply is a nod to my love of process and ingenuity in the repair or creation of something from nothing, and this sums up the therapeutic process for me.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a modality which brings clarity to how our relationships and experiences shape our day-to-day lives, and which supports a path of healing and sustainable change for the people I work with.
I am currently offering UK-wide online sessions and bring my understanding of the creative process to the artists I work with. If you would appreciate speaking to a therapist who understands what it is to be navigating life as an artist, please explore Ply Psychotherapy to find out more and get in touch.
